2024 Mayorathon

The 2024 Richmond Mayorathon was a blast! We sat down with Richmond’s five candidates for mayor to talk about the issues that matter most to the future of our community. Questions from the event–developed by 30+ community-based organizations in Richmond–focused on 5 issue areas: housing, community safety, transportation, the environment, and youth & families. While our audience gathered at the Virginia Museum of History and Culture, hundreds more tuned in via Facebook Live.

2019 Policy Jam

A public event called Mayorathon 2019 reviewed Mayor Levar Stoney’s first two years in office and discussed future priorities. Hosted by Richmond magazine and over a dozen nonprofits, the event featured an informal discussion with Mayor Stoney on key policy issues such as neighborhoods, safety, education, transportation, and the urban environment. Participating organizations shared their reviews of the mayor’s work and suggested steps for the future, while the audience provided input on the administration’s priorities for the remainder of his term.
